Keno origins are uncertain, and no one can tell for sure what is the truth about it. Some say a similar game was created in China around 200 BC by the Han Dynasty. It’s said that this game helped in the construction of the Great Wall.
This Keno game is the result of a poem of 1000 numbers. Originally there were 120 characters in the Chinese Keno game, but it drop to 80 once it left China borders.
When Chinese citizens left China, they take the game with them, and became popular in the word but it was named Chinese Lottery. At the end of the 19th century, the symbols were replaced with numbers.
It was in 1931 that they changed the name of the game from Chinese Lottery to Keno.
