Keno Terms

Aggregate Limit – Payout at a casino for each game.

All or Nothing – A Keno variant that pays out if you hit all the numbers or none of them.

Ball Game – The most frequent way of playing Keno. At this game plastic balls, with numbers printed on them, are used.

Balls – These are the ball that are drawn from the metal sphere at a Keno Game. They have numbers printed on them, from 1 to 80. Usually they are colored according to group of numbers.

Bank – The amount of money the casino has to the payouts for Keno games.

Bankroll – The amount of money you have assigned to play.

Bet – Is the money you wager.

Call – When the sphere starts functioning and the balls are drawn.

Caller – The person tht usually works for the casino and says out loud the numbers that are being drawn.

Catch – When your selected number is drawn.

Combination Way Ticket – A variant of Keno that allows you to play various games with one ticket.

Computer Ticket – Is the ticket the Casino clerk gives you once you give him your ticket with your selected numbers.

Draw – The 20 balls that are pulled out the sphere.

Draw Sheet – Is a sheet that the Casino posts at the room with the numbers drawn in the previous game.

Hit – See Catch

House – The Casino.

House Edge – The amount of money the House wins out of each game.

Jackpot – Amount of money that’s paid in the Progressive Keno.

Keno Balls – See Balls.

Keno Board – A big display that shows the numbers that are being draw.

Keno Counter – The place where the clerk pays the prices, collect the money and sells the tickets.

Keno Lounge – Is the area designated for Keno Games at a Casino.

Keno Runners – Is the employee of the casino that moves all around the Lounge collecting.

Keno Writers – The person that is at the Keno Counter.

Limit – Is the stipulated amount of money that a Casino will pay at any Keno game.

Net Win – The amount of money a player has win in total. You have to consider the amount of money lost to get the Net Win total.

Number Pool – Is the quantity of numbers from which you can choose you numbers. Usually 1 to 80.

Quick Pick – Is a ticket where you don’t choose the numbers, they are randomly picked for you by a computer.

Race – One Keno Game.

Random Number Generator – A computer program that draws numbers randomly.

Split Ticket – Groups of numbers that are played separately in the same ticket.

Straight Keno – The basic game, here you choose individual numbers in the hope that they are drawn.

Ticket – Sheet that has a grid with 80 numbers printed on it. It’s used by the players to make their number selection.

Video Keno – Keno variant that is played in a Video Machine.

Wager – The money you bet.

Winning Numbers – These are the 20 numbers that the sphere pulled out.
